Eyesight - if you are unsure of the quality of your eyesight it may be worth booking a check-up with the opticians. The regulations state you must be able to read the new style numberplates from 20.5 metres away (66 feet). You must also be medically fit to drive, thus check with your GP or the medical branch of the DVLA if you are unsure about any medication you are currently taking or any existing health problems.

Firstly you need to take and pass the Driving Theory exam. This is comprised of a multiple choice exam and a video simulation Hazard Pperception Test.
If you live in Leicestershire or Loughborough, the nearest DSA driving test centre is Wellington Street in Leicester City centre.
If you require a mock test please see my links page.
NB. You may have driving lessons before you pass your theory test, although you cannot book the practical test until you pass this driving theory exam.
The final stage is your practical driving test, an intensive driving exam which may last up to 40 minutes.
You have up to 2 years to take this after you pass your DSA driving theory exam.
YOU NOW HAVE THE FREEDOM OF THE ROADS
One thing you may consider after passing your test is PASS PLUS driving qualification. This is a scheme created by the DSA to improve the experience of newly passed drivers.
By completing this course, participating insurance companies recognise an improvement in your driving standards, and thus, annual premiums for your car insurance are reduced.
For more information on attending a PASS PLUS driving course and the cost, please see my pricing page.
Well done, you have now learnt a new life changing skill. Good luck and safe driving!
